What problem it solves
When one person reads the whole ticket and calls it out to the line, the kitchen loses time and makes mistakes. With the kitchen screen, orders from the POS and from QR ordering appear on a tablet or screen on their own, in three columns: new, preparing and ready.
Each menu category is assigned to a station — kitchen, bar, desserts or other — and each screen can filter to show only its own, so the bar does not have to read the kitchen dishes. If you prefer paper, the same order can be printed from a kitchen device.
How it works
In the menu, assign each category to its station (kitchen, bar, desserts or other).
Open the kitchen screen on the tablet or display of each station and pick its station; the device remembers it.
During service, tap an order to move it from new to preparing and then to ready.
Front of house sees what is ready to serve.

Frequently asked questions
Does it replace the kitchen printer?
It is the on-screen alternative. If you prefer paper, the order can also be printed from a kitchen device (browser, USB or serial port).
Can I create my own stations?
Today there are four fixed stations: kitchen, bar, desserts and other. Each menu category is assigned to one of them; stations with other names cannot be created.
Are there kitchen timing statistics?
The kitchen screen does not compute times per station. For sales and best-selling dishes, see restaurant analytics.
