Verifactu in Tablezio: chained records (status)

Generates hash-chained invoice records from the same order data, as groundwork for Spain's Verifactu. Submission to the AEAT is not available yet, so today it is not a valid Verifactu system.

01What problem it solves

What problem it solves

Restaurant invoicing has to leave a reliable trail: records that cannot be altered without it showing, and invoices that can be rectified in an orderly way. This module generates fiscal records from the same orders as service, chained to each other with a hash, and lets you verify the chain.

Activation is optional and requires the venue's tax ID (NIF). It is a foundation for Spain's Verifactu requirement, but signed submission to the tax agency is not available yet, so check your case with your accountant.

02How it works

How it works

  1. Enable the fiscal module and enter the restaurant's tax ID.

  2. When each ticket is closed, its chained record is generated.

  3. If there is a mistake, issue a rectification instead of editing the record.

  4. Verify the chain and export the records when you need them.

04Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

What is Verifactu?

It is the Spanish tax agency's system requiring invoicing software to generate chained, tamper-evident records. It is mandatory from 1 January 2027 for companies and from 1 July 2027 for self-employed workers.

Does Tablezio submit the records to the tax agency?

Not yet. It generates and chains the records and lets you export and verify them, but signed submission to the AEAT is not available yet.

Can records be corrected?

They are not edited: a rectification is issued and chained.

Is it on by default?

No. It is optional and requires entering the tax ID.
